I started piano lessons at the age of four, but soon I traded the piano for my favourite musical instrument, the harp. I took harp lessons at the conservatoire of Bruges (class of Eline Groslot) and at the conservatoire of Roubaix (class of Anne Le Roy). In Roubaix, I obtained my final diploma for harp with mention très bien à l’unanimité (2015). In September of the same year, I was admitted to the young talent course CEPI (Cycle d’Enseignement Professionnel Initial). For several years I played in the Re Mix Orchestra, an initiative of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. I took master classes with Bernard Andrès, Ulla Van Daelen and Hanna Grociak. I was the winner of the Vlamo music competition for soloists (Leuven 2009) and the harp competition Harpegio (Brussels 2010). Since 2013 I have been the harp accompanist at the International Flute Seminar Bruges. Chamber music holds a special place in my heart. I have played together with Marie Ponseele (cello), Sofie Maes (flute), Aldo Baerten (flute), Blaz Snoj (flute), Christophe Pochet (violin) and my dad Peter Verhoyen (piccolo and flute).

In 2022 I released my first CD together with my dad Peter Verhoyen: The Nightingale.
